Adobo Boy is a Filipino-American, family-owned restaurant built on food, culture, and community. Named after our son Redd — the ultimate adobo fan — our restaurant is a reflection of our family’s journey and our love for sharing Filipino cuisine the way it’s meant to be experienced: around the table, together.
Our story began in December 2023 as a small ghost kitchen. After closing that chapter in March 2025, we took a leap of faith — operating a food truck while building a space that truly represents who we are. On December 1st, 2025, we opened our first brick-and-mortar location, a place we’re proud to finally call home.
Our menu rotates thoughtfully, highlighting classic Filipino dishes alongside seasonal offerings. Lunch features quick, comforting rice bowls, while dinner invites you to slow down and enjoy a full Filipino dining experience. Saturdays are reserved for Filipino breakfast, and on select evenings we host Kamayan Feasts — a communal, hands-on dining experience by reservation. We also gather regularly for monthly community events that celebrate culture, food, and connection.
At Adobo Boy, hospitality is personal. Guests are treated like family, stories are shared freely, and meals are made with care. Whether you’re new to Filipino food or returning to flavors that feel like home, we invite you to join us and be part of our growing community.
Kain na tayo. Let’s eat, together.
From Humble Beginnings to a Culinary Destination
What began as a food trailer, pop-up diner, festival vendor, and catering service has blossomed into a vibrant hub for authentic Filipino cuisine. Rooted in cherished family recipes passed down through generations in the Philippines, the Marasigans are driven by a passion for bringing Filipino culinary culture's warmth, flavor, and tradition to their community.
As the only Filipino restaurant in West Michigan, Adobo Boy fills a unique and delicious niche. The closest alternatives are located in Chicago or Detroit. Inspired by global food icons like Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern—who have hailed Filipino cuisine as "the next big thing"—Adobo Boy invites you to discover the rich, bold flavors of the Philippines. Embark on a culinary journey right here in West Michigan.
